WELCOME TO THE COUCH CLUB

A Cozy Corner for Reflection & Curiosity.

The Couch Club is an extension of the care I bring into my therapy work. If The Therapy Hub is the therapy room, The Couch Club is what happens when you take that experience home to your own couch — a place for self-discovery, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

HOW IT STARTED

Why "The Couch Club"?

It was born out of a love for the couches many of us grew up with, the ones in the background of our favorite 90s sitcoms, and also the very real ones in our own living rooms. It’s where some of our earliest stories about bodies, relationships, and mental health began to form, where we learned how people handle conflict, how affection is given and received, and how to exist in the world.

Take a second and think about it, what’s your favorite childhood couch? Real life or on TV? I’ll forever have a soft spot for the Winslows’ floral couch. I lived for Laura's confidence, Steve's big heart, and the lessons about family, friendship, and showing up for the people you love.

We've grown up, so life isn't as simple as Saturday morning cartoons from your favorite spot on the couch anymore. We're in the thick of it together, doing our best.

This is the Couch Club!

Club /kləb/ noun

A gathering place rooted in shared experience, curiosity, and the feeling of "me too." A space for honest reflection, learning, and exploring the experiences that shaped us and the patterns that followed. Less about membership, more about belonging. The couch you come back to when things start to click, settle, and feel a little more manageable. An emotional home base.

DOOR #1:
PICK MY BRAIN SESSIONS

Pull Up a Chair (or Couch)

Relaxed, one-on-one consultation conversations for therapists and other helping professionals who want practical guidance and a fresh perspective. Think less formal consultation and more, "Can I run something by you?"

I believe some of the best conversations happen when we stop trying to impress each other and start getting honest about the parts of our work that feel challenging.

Here, curiosity is welcome, questions are encouraged, and nobody has to prove they belong. No hierarchy, no gatekeeping, no judgment, and definitely no gold stars for pretending you've never Googled something after a session.

Where Do We Even Start?

If it's part of your life as a therapist, it's fair game. A few favorite topics include:

  • Body image and eating disorders

  • Working with clients in bigger bodies and size-inclusive care

  • Men's mental health

  • Private practice and business growth

  • Branding, websites, blogging, and marketing

  • Content creation and digital resources

  • Finding your niche and authentic voice

  • The business question you've been sitting on because it feels a little too vulnerable to ask

  • The moment you catch yourself thinking, "I don't want people to think I don't know what I'm doing"

A QUICK NOTE

Pick My Brain Sessions are for therapists and helping professionals only. They are not psychotherapy or clinical supervision. Clinical consultation is available within my areas of specialty.
